Atlas Copco Portable Energy continues its focus on power generation. Having formally introduced Predictable Power, the face of its focused approach for the on-site generator and power generation business at Bauma last year, Atlas Copco recently announced the launch of its generator range in India. The new QAX range of portable generators will be produced at its LEAN manufacturing facility at Chakan.

Nico Delvaux, Business Area President Atlas Copco Construction Technique, says, “With these new range of portable generators, our customers will dramatically increase their productivity. QAX range is more than an engine and an alternator put together; in fact, it is a smart amalgamation of innovative technology and design which includes rugged base frame and portability, making it an all-rounder. These machines are uniquely designed with customized features, improved fuel efficiency, easier maintenance and increased lifetime. For us, it is imperative to deliver on the three key principles of Predictable Power: low cost of ownership, reliable performance and risk-free operation.”

Nitin Lall, General Manager – Construction Technique Customer Center, Atlas Copco (India) told Projectvendor that through this new generator range, the company intends to target the niche or high-end market segment.

This niche market segment comprises of the top 20 per cent market segment but has been growing rapidly in the recent years, Nitin Lall added.

The new range of machines is designed for fast, easy and safe transportation and on-site handling on virtually any unprepared surface. Atlas Copco’s Predictable Power helps lead the industry towards increasingly smaller, more flexible machines that can easily be combined for larger projects. Customers enjoy significantly reduced costs, improved fuel efficiency, easier maintenance and increased lifetime. That is what Predictable Power is all about.
